LED Light Source, A True Low-carbon Light Source

21 Jul

As the continuous growing of production lighting, life lighting and city streets lighting, the position of lighting electricity consumption in power consumption becomes increasingly apparent. According to the statistics of China International Lighting Web, in developed countries, lighting electricity consumption has accounted for 25% of the total power consumption. Despite China is still a developing country, the lighting electricity consumption with an average annual increase rate of 15% has already accounted for 12% of the total electricity consumption. According to estimation of an authoritative expert, taking domestic urban road lighting as an example, if 1/3 light sources of urban road lighting are replaced by energy efficient lighting products, the savings on electricity consumption will be equivalent to power generation of the Three Gorges Project. Therefore, State Development and Reform Commission has cooperated with United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF) to jointly launch the project of “China gradually phases out incandescent lights, speeds up the promotion of energy-saving lamps” project. energy-efficient lighting products, alternatives incandescent lamps, have met a good opportunity to grow rapidly, especially LED, as a revolutionary new type of light source, under the trend of “low carbon” and “energy saving”, has equipped itself with wings of rapid development.

In the tides of low-carbon economy, various types of energy-saving lighting products went to the stage and showed their capability. However, behind this dazzling sight, energy-saving fluorescent lamps with many hidden deadly threats were very popular. If we can’t recognize the fatal flaws of fluorescent energy-saving lamp, and let it develop together with new light source LED, then behind the boom market of energy-saving and emission reduction, we can foresee that China will bear the disastrous consequences in the future.

Summing up from many aspects, whether from the perspective of environmental protection, or comparing the technical data, fluorescent energy-saving lights should be replaced by the new light source of LED:

1. Raw materials can not be recycled: we all know, energy-saving fluorescent lamps all contain dangerous material – mercury which will heavily pollute the envinronment, a fluorescent tube averagely contains 0.5mg mercury, which can pollute 180 tons of water if it penetrates into undeground. Currently, there is no scientific method of recycling energy saving fluorescent tubes to prevent pollution. The general measure taken is burying deeply now, which will cause serious water pollution. Now, many countries are advocating “energy-saving lamps to replace incandescent”, which is understandable from the perspective of energy-saving, but from the environmental point of view it is not necessarily feasible. Only comparing incandescent lamps and energy saving fluorescent lamps, although power consmption of incandescent lamps is higher, they do not contain mercury which can pollute the environment, while energy saving fluorescent lamps contain mercury. We can imagine, on the stage of developing low carbon economy and green economy, for example, China has 13 million people, if 5 energy-saving fluorescent lamps are used per person per year, 6.5 billion in total, which means 3.25 million grams of mercury become pollution source, if penetrates into underground, they will cause 1.17 trillion tons of water be polluted, which will lead to disastrous consequences. Only thinking about this, it should quit the stage of history.

2. Serious strobe: energy-saving lamps feature serious stroboscopic, about 100-200 times per second. According to statistics, the improvement of short-sighted students proportion is related to fluorescent lights used in the classrooms, and also in some precise operation fields, the serious strobe of fluorescent lights will cause serious fatigue of staff, then affect precise degree of the operations and cause potential safety hazard.

3. Serious light degradation: Although energy-saving lamp manufacturers, especially manufacturers of T5 tubes are committed to a long lifetime about 30,000 hours, almost all domestic cases of T5 energy-saving application performed serious light degradation after half a year, which severely affected the lighting quality of application environment, and even some industries have to prohibit the use of T5 tubes.

Comparing to fluorescent energy-saving lamps, LED lighting has many unique advantages, which are more in accord with “low carbon” and “energy saving” concept, and as the technology progress and acceleration of LED applications, global “low carbon” and “energy saving” process will be greatly promoted.

1. Eco-friendly raw materials: among the whole package of LED light, both the lamp shell, radiator, power supply and light source, do not contain any hazardous materials which may pollute the environment, recycle is relatively easy.

2. Comfortable light: light is comfortable and soft without flickering. Now, most medical surgical lights which require extremely high lighting quality have adopted LED lights.

3. Super-intelligent control: the speciality of LED light source enables LED lights to greatly increase energy efficiency; Meanwhile LED lights are powered by low voltage, the power supply can be adapted to wide range of voltage, which will combine well with various types of intelligent control systems, including the infrared sensors, clock control, regional independent control, these revolutions of light source will enable people to enjoy the modern intelligent life.

Unquestionably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

This is a message to the webmaster. I just came to your website (cool site by the way), and wanted to let you know that it’s running very slowly. I thought it was my connection at first but then I realized it was your website. A quick recommendation, I’ve been using FusionHost for WordPress hosting. They have really fast servers which are optimized for WordPress. They also have Softaculous, which allows you to install WP with just a single click of the mouse which I thought you’d appreciate :) Hope that helps!
