User's Manual for FLT-DMX-512-D3 LED DMX Decoder

This manual includes important information about checking after receiving the product, cautions, working environment of the product, user's responsibilities and operation instructions, please read it carefully before you use the product.

Product Checking

1) Unpack and carefully examine the product.
2) Report any damage and save all packing material if any part is damaged during the transportation.
3) Do not attempt to use this device if it is damaged.

Cautions

1) This device shall be installed and operated by a qualified electrician or technician in accordance with all relevant local codes.
2) Risk of electric shock. Ensure that the power supply is off when wiring or soldering the sections of the device.
3) Please ensure the power supply is of adequate power to operate the total load.
4) Correct electrical polarity needs to be observed.
5) Assembly must not damage or destroy conducting paths on the circuit board.

Working Environment

This DMX decoder is suitable for indoor applications.

User Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the contractor, installer, purchaser, owner, and user to install, maintain, and operate the device in such a manner as to comply with all state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.

Operation Instructions

Address Setup Instruction

The decoder occupies 3 addresses on the console. There are 10 buttons from No. 1 to No. 10 for setting the FIRST address on the console. (See the following picture)

Button 1 to button 9
Each button represents a binary system number, for example, button 1 represents number 001 and button 6 represents number 032. Switch on the button to activate the represented number.
Button 10
This is the FUN (function) button. Switching on this button will activate the default test function; switch off to activate the decoder function; under which the decoder can work jointly with console.
Please refer to the following operation example:
If you want to set the decoder to address 37, 38 and 39 on the console:
Firstly, switch off button 10 (FUN button)
Then, switch on button 6, 3 and 1. (32+4+1=37)

Function of Buttons

Button 10= FUN
FUN=OFF, the decoder will work and receive signal from console.
FUN=ON, the decoder will work under default test mode.
Button 1~9=OFF, black
Button 1=ON, red
Button 2=ON, green
Button 3=ON, blue
Button 4=ON, yellow
Button 5=ON, violet
Button 6=ON, cyan
Button 7=ON, white
Button 8=ON, triple color changing (2 seconds interval)
Button 9=ON, seven color changing (2 seconds interval)
Note: After new address is set up, you should re-start the decoder or re-activate button "FUN" to activate the setting.
